Māvarā is composed of bold square fabric fragments joined together with carefully bound seams, creating a rhythmic patchwork where structure and spontaneity coexist. One side is dominated by deep blacks and blues, evoking a quiet sense of mystery and calm. Turn it over, and the palette shifts to warm creams and earthy browns, offering a softer, grounded character.
The reverse side features a black background scattered with colorful textile fragments, as if light is gradually emerging from darkness. This dialogue between the ordered geometry of the patchwork and the free movement of vibrant fabric pieces gives Māvarā its layered, ever-changing identity.
Every piece is handcrafted from reclaimed textiles, allowing discarded materials to begin a new story. No two bags are ever exactly alike, making each one a truly one-of-a-kind textile artwork designed to be carried in everyday life.
Reversible and washable, Māvarā is created for expressive, individual styles. It closes using the traditional Japanese furoshiki-inspired loop system, where the longer strap passes through the shorter one—an elegant, practical fastening that requires no hardware.
