description

Modām—meaning continuous or constant—is a study of transformation. It reflects the way colors, textures, and memories gradually merge, where no boundary remains fixed and every layer becomes part of the next.

One side features free-form red fabric fragments placed over an orange checkered textile. Hand-painted acrylic softens the edges between the layers, while printed motifs complete the composition, creating the impression that color, fabric, and pattern are slowly dissolving into one another.

The reverse reveals a richly textured patchwork of reclaimed fabrics arranged in a balanced composition. Structured vertical and horizontal stitching brings order to the diversity of materials, while scattered sequins catch the light, adding subtle rhythm and movement.

Handcrafted from reclaimed textiles, every Modām bag is one of a kind. Reversible and washable, it offers two distinct visual experiences in a single piece—one expressive and fluid, the other structured yet vibrant. The bag closes with Ze DAST’s signature Japanese-inspired loop closure, where the longer strap passes through the shorter one for a simple, hardware-free fastening.
