Monireh Shokravian
(b. 1988)
A multidisciplinary artist and writer, shokravian holds a degree in Cinema and a Bachelor’s in Judicial Law. She works as an abstract designer and published author, with three books to her credit—two of which combine abstract visual art with poetry.
As the founder of ZehnA (short for Zehn-e Afarineshgar, or “Creative Mind”), she focuses on abstract design and literary projects. Her artistic practice includes solo exhibitions, participation in domestic and international group exhibitions (both physical and virtual), and adapting her designs for commercial applications such as textiles, apparel, wood/metal crafts, accessories, logos, book covers, and related industries.
A self-taught abstract designer, shokravian has dedicated three years to honing her craft, producing over 1,000 works to date. Among her most significant projects is an unpublished series of 495 abstract designs inspired by Hafez’s ghazals, which she plans to compile into a forthcoming book.
Parallel to her visual art, she continues to write for radio and prepare new literary publications.
